1- The Epiphany; The Universal Kings’ Offerings to the King of the Universe
زيارة المجوس وتقدمة القوى الكونية إلى ملك الكون
As an Egyptian, I see the Epiphany as a visit of three Ancient Egyptian gods representing three universal powers. Each one of them is offering his divinity as a present to the King of Kings, God of gods: “Horus”, the god of life, is offering gold in a crown to the God of Life. “Kherti”, with his ram-like head similar to a scapegoat, is offering frankincense in a censer to the Highest Priest of the universe. “Anubis”, the god of death, is offering myrrh in a crown of thorns to the One Who has come to die for the human race in order to conquer death forever.
كمصري، أرى في زيارة المجوس زيارة لثلاثة آلهة من مصر القديمة يمثلون ثلاث قوى كونية. كل منهم يقدم ألوهيته هدية إلى ملك الملوك: "حورس"، إله الحياة، يقدم ذهباً في تاج ٍإلى ملك وإله الحياة. "خرتي"، إذ برأس الكبش يشبه ذبيحة الكفارة والغفران، يقدم لُباناً في مبخرة إلى كاهن الكون الأعظم. "أنوبيس"، إله الموت، يقدم المُر، الذي يعدون به حنوط التكفين، في إكليل من شوك لذاك الذي جاء ليموت عن جنس البشر لكي ينتصر إلى الأبد على الموت.

أفروديتي الداعية إلى شهوات حياة فانية وأنوبيس الذي يحد سلطانها بحتمية موت كل متعة فانية .. ويسوع .. الداعي من خلاله إلى حياة باقية
Where Aphrodite, the goddess of sensual love and beauty, is to dominate the world with her offers of passing sensual pleasures, Anubis, the god of death, is also there to challenge her power as he always proclaims the truth of mortality that put an end to all earthly delights. However, Jesus, the God of Love and Life, is amidst that universal conflict, calling, through his body, for an eternal life where immortal pleasure and delights are forever there.
بينما تبسط "أفروديتي"، إلهة الهوى والجمال الحسي، سلطانها على البشر بما تقدمه من متع عابرة، يربض أمامها "أنوبيس"، إله الموت، متحدياً هيمنتها إذ ينادي بحتمية الموت الذي يضع نهاية لكل ملذاتها .. لكل وعودها. وفي وسط هذا الصراع الكوني يدعو "يسوع"، إله الحب وإله الحياة، من خلال جسده، إلى حياة أبدية حيث المتعة واللذة التي لا تفنى.
